Our Friends in Israel - Day 12 - March 11, 2008

Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the LORD surrounds His people,
from this time forth and forevermore.
Psalm 125:1-2

Today our friends have a FREE DAY in JERUSALEM !! Won't it be exciting to see where they have chosen to spend this day. We will be able to wrap our arms around them in a welcome home in just a few days !!
Thursday they will be taking in the sites of Jesus' passion week and ending at Golgotha and the Garden Tomb.

This picture was taken by Pastor Adrian Rogers' lovely wife, Joyce. In 2003 I was privileged to attend a Trans World Radio Project Hannah prayer conference and Mrs. Rogers was the featured speaker. In the Garden of Prayer at Colonial Baptist Church in Cary, NC, her message was Today's Seeds are Tomorrow's Flowers. She gave each of us a copy of her photo and reminded us of the Seed of Christ's body laid in the tomb and that it burst forth there as a firstfruit of our promised resurrection.

We are all on the piligrimage to Jerusalem as the writer of Hebrews reminds us and so I leave you with these verses from Hebrews 12:22-24.
But you have come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God,
the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels,
to the assembly and congregation of the firstborn,
who are enrolled in heaven,
and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous,
who have been made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant,
and to the sprinkled blood that speaks of something better than Abel’s does.
