Our Friends in Israel - Day 4 - March 3, 2008

Our friends in Israel were to start the day from their hotel in Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee.

They were heading to the spectacular northern part of Israel, driving through the Hula Valley to Mount Hermon, otherwise known to us as the Mount of Transfiguration.

They were to visit the Banias, one of the headwaters of the Jordan River and site of Caesarea Philippi, where Peter confessed, "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God" (Matt. 16:16)

On their return trip back to Tiberias they were to stop at the Dan Nature Reserve, one of Israel's lovely "national parks". Besides drinking in the sights and sounds of this beautiful site, their history lesson will be about the gates of the Old Testament as they observe the archeiological sites.
