Terribly sorry about the delay - but an exhausting flu has kept me down for the last couple of days. It is good that our friends were in Petra for these two days so I am not all that behind in letting you see where they have been.
They left Amman and traveled to Petra, this red city considered one of the wonders of the ancient world. After entering through the "siq" a magnificent canyon, they emerged at the Treasury Monument, carved out of the red rock.
They were to see other impressive remains such as the ancient tombs, the Cardo Street, the Triumphal Arch of Adrian and the Court building. They would return to Amman for Day 9 of their journey in the Footsteps of the Patriarchs.
