Today our friends are leaving the beautiful Galilee area and driving down the Jordan Valley on their way to Amman, Jordan's capital. They will visit Beth Shean, walking on the ancient streets, seeing the steamy Roman baths, the theatre, coliseum, market and temples. The photo above is a panorama of Beth-Shean and below is the excavation along the ancient streets.

The first stop in Jordan will be at Jerash, where they will visit the Rotunda Plaza, the Roman amphitheater, the Cardo and Decumeno Streets, the Forum and the mosaic floors from the Byzantine period.
On their way to Amman, they will drive through the land of Gilead and will see the Jabbok River, where the Angel of the Lord wrestled with Jacob, changing his name to Israel. (Genesis 32)
